IN THE COOL OF THE DAY

“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day.” Think about it! God was truly with man! I wonder what he looked like? I wonder what language he spoke? Was his voice deep and booming, or soft and calming? None the less God was with man in the Garden. “IN THE COOL OF THE DAY” is some of my personal garden time with God. Sometimes it is as if I can hear Him speaking just to me...Pastor John

Today's Prayer

Lord, I wake today with Your gift of joy in my heart. But, I know, Lord, there are many around me who don’t have that same joy. There are those whose circumstances have overwhelmed them. They need to hear You speak to them like You speak to me when I am disappointed and depressed. They need to hear You tell them You love them like You tell me when I am down-hearted and thinking it is no use to go on. They need to hear You tell them everything will be greater in the end. They need to hear You tell them that the victory is assured, even when it seems all has been lost. They need to hear You tell them, just like You told me, how out of the ashes of defeat can emerge the greatest victory of all. You know who they are, Holy Spirit…would you speak to their hearts? Would You allow this prayer of my heart to speak Your words of encouragement, strength, peace, and joy, into their hearts, that they might know that which You have spoken in mine. I already know in the deepest part of my heart, You love me, Lord. I already know in the deepest part of my heart, everything will be greater than great in the end. I already know in the deepest part of my heart, the victory is assured, even when it seems all has been lost. I already know in the deepest part of my heart, out of the ashes of defeat can emerge the greatest victory of all. Thank you Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer. Amen

Do You Want To Know My Jesus?

Romans 10:9-11 in the New Living Translation says, “For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed.”

Do you want to accept Christ as your Savior? Here is a prayer you can offer to Jesus right now. It does not have to be exact, but you will get the idea.

Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against you. I know that I am not perfect and that I cannot please you through my own efforts. I know that I deserve to be judged according to my sins. And, I know that I have nothing to offer you.

Lord Jesus, I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Please cleanse me and make me right before you. I trust in what you have done on the cross. I do not rely on myself but only on you and I receive you as Lord of my life and as savior of my soul. Lord Jesus, save me. I look to you alone. Amen
